5 Facts About Space You Didn't Know

5 facts about space you didn't know

People like to explore space and understand it better because of the many mysteries and secrets it hides.  So we're going to give you some facts about space to find out some things we don't know without going to space.  Space contains trillions of galaxies and things that the human mind may not understand.  Here are some facts about the vast space.

Facts about space

1- There are thousands of other planets in space

We have eight planets in our solar system.  However, there are thousands of other planets outside the solar system.  Additional solar planets or exoplanets orbiting another star.  So far we have roughly 1,800 confirmed new scientists, and another 3,000 awaiting confirmation.  Astronomers are looking to a region of gold stars that may be just as habitable as Earth.  Most of the planets discovered so far are hot gas giants.

2- When you are in space, the skin on your feet peels off

In low-gravity environments, astronauts do not use their feet to walk.  So the skin of their feet starts to get thinner and peel off.  Since there is no washing facility in space, the astronauts wear the same underwear and socks for a few days.  Then they should take off these socks very gently.  Because it can come out of dead skin cells and float in space.

3- One day on Venus is more than a year

This thing is difficult for you to understand, but it is true. One year on Venus (and this is the period it takes for Venus to circle the Sun a full circle) is 224.7 Earth days.  However, it takes 243 Earth days for Venus to rotate on its axis only once.

4- Astronauts have been quarantined after returning from the moon

There is a famous photo of US President Nixon talking to the crew of the Apollo 11 spacecraft consisting of Michael Collins, Neil Armstrong, and Buzz Aldrin.  This continued even after the Apollo 14 crew returned safely.  And then scientists decided that the moon does not contain any killer diseases.  But the Apollo 13 crew, who had a defect and had to return to Earth, were subjected to quarantine after their return again.

5- The Sun could be filled with 1 million Earths

Ancient astronomers used to think that the earth is in the center of the universe, but now we know that the sun is in the center of the solar system and the planets revolve around the sun.  The sun makes up 99.8% of the mass of the entire solar system.  Therefore, we need a million planets the same size as the Earth to be the same size as the sun.
